I went and had a little workout with Mr. Whitlow today. We didn’t do a whole lot, but it felt good to do something. I still want to get my 3rd Degree Black Belt. I am doing my personal physical training, and I need to start doing some Taekwondo training to make sure I get ready to test.
Mr. Whitlow told me today that he would help me get ready to test for it. I am looking forward to that. I’ve been wanting that next belt for a long time now.
I posted the other day saying that I’ve been having good days and bad days. Today hasn’t been one of my worst days, but I got some bad news this morning. It seems that someone called the Boys and Girls Club and told them some things about me. They called me and said they would not be able to rent to me until I get some things cleared up. I have ideas who I think might have called them, but I can’t say because I don’t really know. At this point all I can do is move forward from where I am, and deal with the situation that is presented to me.
The good news is Mr. Whitlow is going to help me out. I will not have classes this week, but starting next week he is going to go arrange the rental of the gym to keep the classes going. He is going to be taking over to keep the school together, which was my goal all along. I wanted to keep the school alive, and maybe this is how it was supposed to happen. We’ll see how it all works out in the end, but for right now I think everyone is going to be taken care of.
We had our first day of classes at the Taekwondo school tonight. We had a great time. Everyone was excited to get started again. It felt great to get back into the uniform. We had five kids and three adult helpers for the kids class. We worked on a review of our basic kicks, did some cardio work with kicks up and down the floor. After the water break we worked on the three Cycle One patterns, Chon Ji, Won Hyo, and Toi Gye.
