The Two Towers

I finished reading “The Two Towers” this morning and started “The Return of the King“. I am enjoying this story the farther I get through it. There is so much you miss in the movies if you’ve never read the books. I understand so much more about the story now that I’ve read about all the things they left out of the movie. Some various different parts of the book are a little different than the movie. You just have to read the book to understand.

At the moment I need sleep, so I am going to bed. I will write the review on “The Two Towers” later. I am exhausted. I will do a much better job later after I’ve had a good nights sleep. For now I’ll just update that I’ve finished it and started “The Return of the King“. I’ll post a comment when I have the review done.

The Fellowship of the Ring

I finished the book during my lunch break last night. I am so happy I read it. It really is an amazing story. The book fills in a lot of gaps that were left out of the movies. It tells a lot more about why various decisions were made by certain characters. It shows why it’s such a big deal that Legolas and Gimli become friends, the book calls them “fast friends”.

I am about to start “The Two Towers”. I can’t wait to see what I missed from the movie in this one. If it’s anywhere near as good as Fellowship I can’t wait to see. Well, I’m off to start it.

The Bourne Ultimatum

Of the Bourne series I like the first one best, “The Bourne Identity”. The second book, “The Bourne Supremacy” is not far behind it. The last one “The Bourne Ultimatum” is a little disappointing. It’s good in places, but it seems to be too long. It took forever to read, and I wasn’t happy with the Bourne character in it. He kept making stupid mistakes. I thought he was better than that. I’m no author, so I can’t say too much, but I was expecting more. It wasn’t a bad book, it was just a little anticlimactic. It is a decent book, and any Bourne fan should read it, but it could have been better.
