The last couple weeks we’ve been playing football after church. We start at 2:00pm and play till we feel like stopping or 4:00pm, whichever comes first. The first week we had six people show up. We had a good time. This week we had twelve, and we had a great time. We did get rained out about forty five minutes after we started, but that couldn’t be helped, and nobody really complained. We plan to play again this coming Sunday. Anyone is welcome to join. We play in the field behind the church. Just show up at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon. It’s two hand touch backyard football.
No I’m not getting married. Now that I got that out of the way I’ll get in to my post.
I went to Coops bachelor party last night. We had a good time, played some games, gave Coop a hard time. The usual thing we do. This morning I started thinking about how most of my friends are either married or getting married. Most of my life all my friends have not been married. In the last year Jonathan, then Nate, and now Coop are all married or about to be. I’m looking at the remaining friends and wondering who will be next. I also wonder sometimes if I’ll find someone. I’ll just have to wait and see on both counts.
Pastor spoke last Sunday about living with a thankful heart. I really liked it.
I am thankful for my God. He has done amazing things for me recently. I owe him so much for all the blessings in my life. I am very thankful for the family he gave me. They have supported me even when I didn’t deserve it. I am thankful for the friends I have. They stand by me through the bad times when I just want to give up. They encourage me to keep going, and they celebrate with me when I have a victory. I couldn’t ask for better friends.
