I will be transferring my website off of the server to another hosting solution in the next day or two. During that time there may be some downtime. I will work to reduce that as much as possible, but it may not be avoidable. Please be patient while I work on this.
Somehow I have managed to make it through my first night on the job. WE unloaded two trailers of merchandise and then put all of it on the shelves. Everyone helped unload the trailer and palatalize all the stuff. After that everyone had their own section they went to work on putting the stuff either on the shelf for emediate sale, or the were to put it in the “top stock”, anything above eight feet.
I clocked in at 8:00pm. We had an hour lunch break. I then clocked out at 7:00am. Nothing beats a ten hour shift on your first day on the job while you’re not used to staying up all night yet.
I got off work and went to the Greenway where I ran my three miles in 26:07 minutes. That isn’t very good considering my best three mile time is 24:38. I guess the lack of sleep and staying on my feet all day hurt my time. I’ll see what happens tomorrow when I go for my four miles.
I’m going to bed now. I would recommend waiting until at least 5:00pm if you need to call me. I am putting my phone on vibrate.
I’m going in tonight at 8:00pm for my first third shift. I can’t say I’m looking forward to this. I’ve done third shift before and I remember not liking it. I am not a night person so this will not be an easy transition. I tried to stay up late last night but wasn’t able to. I also slept rather well last night and woke up at 8:00am. This all means by 3:00am I’m going to be exhausted. By 6:00am, when I get off, I’m going to be close to dead. Then I’m going to go to the Greenway to run three miles.
I’m off to pack my lunch for work. I’ll post about the wonderful experience in the morning, provided I survive. Good Night… Sleep well…
