Amazing Day

Today has been an amazing day. I was able to purchase a car to keep me dry when it rains. I’ve driven it around a little and I am very happy with my purchase. I look forward to driving to work in the rain and not getting wet in the least little bit.

The Judgment tonight was nothing short of a move from God. It was incredible how well it went. We had 43 decisions for Christ tonight. That almost doubles yesterdays 23 decisions. I don’t know what the total is for the whole event, but it is going well.

It is 12:46am. I am about to set my clocks back an hour and go to bed. It is way past my bedtime. I have officially melted for the night.

Got a Dry Ride

The other day I was finally able to keep completely dry while riding my motorcycle in the rain. The problem is it was still a miserable ride.

Friday I was looking at cars on the side of the road with For Sale signs in them. I saw a ‘93 Nissan Altima for sale. The sign said they were asking $2300 for it. The body was in great shape with two minor dents that I could see. I took down the number so I could call later. After work I decided to stop in and ask about it. I got there just in time to see it get sold to someone else. It would have been a great car for $2300.

The guy that was selling it told me he had another car at his house that he wouldn’t mind selling. It’s a ‘90 Toyota Tercel. I can’t remember how many miles it has, but it’s in fairly good condition, runs well, drives good, and he only wanted $900 for it.

I looked it over, poked around under the hood, drove it around the block, and bought it. I figure it will be a nice car to drive when it’s raining. Other than that, I still plan to ride the motorcycle most of the time.

Example of the car.

That is not the car I bought, just a picture I found online. Mine is white.

I Gave In

I finally gave in and went shopping. I needed to figure out how to keep my feet dry when riding my motorcycle in the rain. I have not been able to do that so far. Tonight I did better than ever by wearing my paintball boots that are water proof and wrapping my legs up to my knees with plastic trash bags and packaging tape. My feet only got marginally wet. I wasn’t pouring water out of my shoes when I got home. Luckily all of that was under my outer water proof pants so I didn’t look like a total Goober.

I went to Wal-Mart and did some shopping for stuff to help with that, and to get some jeans I desperately needed. I got a pair of rubber boots that go almost up to my knees, and they have no laces. I think that’s where the water has been coming in. I also bought three pair of black jeans. I wanted them for The Judgment so I will be in all black.

I will update about The Judgment again as soon as I have time. I have no idea when that will be. For now I am going to bed.

Goodnight
