The recovery seems to be going well. It is now two days after the procedure, and I have just started to try some solid food. It turns out that it is challenging to eat when you have to try to chew with your front teeth.

The medication they gave me is some good stuff. I know better than to try to drive while on this stuff. I got a ride to church today, and I will have to really think about if I should drive to work tomarrow. We’ll see how I feel tonight before going to bed. I just hope that the recovery will be fairly short. It feels strange to not be fully in control.

Well, today I’m going in to the dentist to have four teeth removed. I am having both upper wisdom teeth taken out as well as the two lower molars in front of my lower wisdom teeth. This is the biggest dental procedure I’ve ever had done, and I can’t say I’m not worried about it. They are going to use I.V. sedation, so as of 7 this morning, I can’t eat or drink anything untill after the procedure. I doubt I’ll want anything after they’re done so I think I’ve done all the eating I’ll do today. Here in a minute I’m going to head over to Wal-Mart and get a six pack of Slim-Fast. We’ll see how I feel when I get home, but I think those will end up being for tomarrow.

I’ll post an update when I feel up to it.
EDIT: Well, it went rather well. I walked in, got checked in, and waited a little while. It wasn’t too bad. They took me back to a little room and asked me to just sit back, relax, and They would take good care of me. So I did, and they put my on an IV sedation. I remember asking the doctor what they were useing. I now can’t remember what he said, but it sounded cool. So about one minute after he administers the sedative the room gets fuzzy, and the next thing I know I’m waking up with cotton in my mouth.

They used some cool drugs, but they’re wearing off now. I’ve taken one of the pills he prescribed, and just now took some Aleve. We’ll see how it all works out.

I checked out a friends site today. He posted on there that he normally doesn’t do this kind of thing, but it was 2am and he couldn’t sleep. So I went to check it out, seeing as it’s late, and I can’t sleep, so what the heck. So here’s what it said about me.
